* In the many books that I have ever read about Krishna, Radha has always been portrayed as Krishna’s disciple and the former as his Guru. His love for Radha stands as pure as the waters of the holy Ganga. He has proved to the world that true love is a bonding which can exist between a man and woman, devoid of any impurity in it. He has expressed divine love in a unique manner to the world, which, at times, has also been highly misunderstood. His love for Radha was beyond expression. 

1. Krishna had many ardent female devotees who were ready to give up their life in lieu of Krishna’s love, but for Krishna, Radha stood at the top among his favorites. For this reason al his female disciples were envious of Radha. One day, in order to teach them a lesson, Krishna plotted a scene. He pretended to be having a severe headache. Seeing their master in distress, all his female disciples expressed great concern for him. They all felt helpless, not being able to help Krishna in any manner although he was in great pain.

2. Finally, Krishna said his headache would go if one of them would stand on his head and massage it gently with her feet. Hearing this, all of them backed out saying that it would be a sacrilege to do so as he was the Lord of the Universe. Hence they could not commit such a sin and discreet his divine form by touching his sacred head with their feet. Krishna continued ailing in pain but no one came to his rescue.

3. Finally, when Radha came there and saw Krishna suffering so much, she instantly ran to him and asked him what she could do to relieve him off this suffering. Krishna made the same request to Radha as he had to others present there. She immediately stood on Krishna’s head, who soon felt relieved and felt asleep. Once the lord had slept, the other female devotees dragged her to a corner and began accusing her. They even threatened to kill her for committing such a sacrilegious act. Radha protested to this and said that by doing so it relieved him off the pain from which he had been suffering since morning.  To this the Gopikas said that this act of hers would take her to the lowest stratum of hell. Radha laughed loud and said that she was least concerned about that and that she was ready to commit any amount of such sins if it makes Krishna happy even for a single moment. 

They all bowed in front her as they had now understood why Krishna loved Radha so intently, for she had no thought for herself, her entire world revolved around Krishna alone and his happiness
