1. Shiva has infinite forms which incorporate every attribute or quality which we as humans can think or predict. Be it humble or naive, sweet or wild, charming or scary, Shiva has been personified in various characters  right from the naive Bholenath to the fierce Kalabhairava, from the sober and pretty Somasundara to the terrible Aghori. But the most fundamental forms of Shiva are five in number out of which Yogeshwarya is one of them.

The Yogeshwarya form of Shiv explains the fact that one has crossed that phase of life where his physical needs predominated his mind and body and a stage has come where the need to go beyond the physical seems inevitable. Even the vast cosmos seems to have restrained one’s thoughts and actions which in turn has forced one to conclude that if a small boundary can restrain you, at some point of time you can be restrained by a huge one as well. In order to experience this, one does not necessarily have to crisscross the cosmos. 

3. A physical boundary would restrain you if, sitting in your place, if you crisscross the cosmos and try to judge whether a physical boundary restricts you from travelling distances or not. If your ability to travel distances gets enhanced, it would create restriction for you to cross any boundary. The idea is by mastering physical boundaries, you cannot master the ability to travel beyond the cosmic. Here comes the role of Yoga. Yoga- meaning to breach the barrier of physical creation. It teaches you not just to put in your efforts to master the physicality of existence but to breach its limitations and touch a dimension which is not physical in nature. Your core aim should be to unite with the boundless and dissolve the limits into the boundless nature of existence. This is what the Yogeshwarya form of Shiva signifies.
