1. THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU START CONSTRUCTION
Before starting construction of any new structure, one should worship ones kuldevta, lord ganesha, lord kshetraphal, the vaastu purush and the dikpatis (lords of the direction). Make sure that you give the construction laborers good rewards when you start the building.
2. AUSPICIOUS DAYS AND DIRECTIONS
Monday, Wednesday, thursda, Friday and Saturday are auspicious day to start the construction. Digging work should be started from the northeastern direction and the structure should be built from southern to western direction. The construction should not end on south.
Hot tip: use square and solid bricks for laying the foundation.
3. ALTER WITH CAUTION:
While building our houses or any other structure, if we find that it is not properly planned we always make some changes. For example, if any part off the construction is not made according to our requirement, we break it and try to change it. Please note that the main door of the structure should not be altered while the construction is going on.
4. More things to remember
Always leave some open space on all four sides of the structure, as well as earthen, on concrete space, Ensure that sunlight reaches each and every room of the structure .a common wall shared by adjacent plot owners is not good vaastu.sharing walls means sharing luck, so avoid it. Try making a new. Individual boundary wall for yourself
Keep the structure to a regular shape, like rectangular or square. The corners of the building should not be cut.
Do not use old bricks, old iron parts, or old woods to make a new house. All these things store past energies. Avoid positioning water sources in the south, even for construction purpose
